The Indiana Pacers defeated the Bulls on Friday, January 4, in overtime 119-116 to start off the New Year with a win. Yet another game winner by Victor Oladipo. He just keeps adding to his clutch performances with the Pacers. I won’t lie to you, I did not watch much of this game. I watched the first half and got busy doing other things during the second half. I was checking the score periodically and saw that we were playing much better. Obviously, this had to do with my change of routine because what I do at home completely affects what happens in the game. So, I decided not to watch the entire second half. I checked again when I assumed the game would be over and I saw we were going to overtime. I decided that overtime still counts as the second half so I cannot watch. But right before I went to bed, I checked the score, 116-116 with 9 seconds left and the Pacers had the ball. So I went against my gut. I told myself overtime is an extra period it is not technically part of the second half. I turned the game on. The Pacers were walking out of a timeout about to inbound the ball. And, boy, am I glad I did. After Victor Oladipo nearly ripped my heart out of my chest by almost going over and back, he came across half-court, pulled up and banked in a three with 0.3 seconds left. That is the only play I watched after half time and it was a hell of play to watch. I freaked out, turned off the game, and ran around the house. Soon after I entered my room, put my head on my pillow and entered my dreamland, The Land of Victor Oladipo Buzzer Beaters.
