Big Free Agency News

On top of signing Devin Funchess (a move that I love), the Colts also tendered a few of their own restricted free agents. Safety Matthias Farley, Reserve Offensive Lineman Evan Boehm, Wide Receivers Chester Rogers and Marcus Johnson, and Longsnapper Luke Rhodes will all be back next year. In this group, the Colts are bringing back their starting longsnapper which will mean a ton for Vinny and Rigo. They are also bringing back a good punt returner and receiver depth in Rogers. Johnson showed flashes before he got injured last year, Boehm played well in Ryan Kelly's stead last year, and Farley has definite potential to be a solid long-term starter at safety. Overall, I think these fives re-signings were all well-deserved and I am glad they occurred as I believe they will pay big dividends in the long-term.
